Liberal Gun Owner Resources

One thing that was a bit difficult for me was finding a good list of resources for people like me, someone with moderate Liberal views on matters that was sick and tired of the constant foaming at the mouth about how bad liberals are when looking for reliable gun resources. It took some time but I found a few decent places to meet others with my views and to have adult, civilized conversations about issues surrounding firearm ownership. I’ve compiled them here for you to hopefully help you “find your people”.

Facebook Resources

Facebook has numerous groups available for those looking to connect with like minded folks in their area. If you know of a great resource that should be listed here, please let me know.

    • Anderson Manufacturing (The company and its sales team are clearly Trump supporters. Do you recall the “shit hole countries” comments and the inevitable controversy that followed? Well, Anderson decided to capitalize on it with these commemorative lower receivers. I think the evidence speaks for itself.)
    • Bass Pro Shop (not because of any politics, but because their “sales” are shit)
    • Classic Firearms (They’ve got major bank behind them and do their best to corner the milsurp market much to the detriment of their customers. They very often mislabel the condition of their milsurp products and manufacture scarcity of said products on a bi-weekly basis just to drive up their prices. Every crate of antique rifles or pistols are “the last you will see for a while, so get them now” then two weeks later they “find” another crate of the “rare” firearms and artificially raise the price.)
    • Deguns.com (Their lead gunsmith and the face of their social media campaign is an active member of a neo-nazi organization.)

    • Larue Tactical (Great products and their sales are good, but they tend to stuff hard-right bumper stickers/swag into your order even though you didn’t ask for it.)
    • Right to Bear, Arms & Supply LLC(As the name would imply, they lean to the right. No doubt. Their Facebook page suggests they may be libertarian-leaning. They usually have good deals and get featured on r/gundeals a lot for it and they don’t sell merch with any alienating images or phrases on them. This could go in the “maybe” pile.)
    • Sig Sauer (Some QC issues as highlighted in this comment by u/Skyrick. Other evidence to consider depending on your take of the reaction to the anthem protests. More of a maybe. Their optics are great. Your call.) – I have personally purchased Sig products, other than the P320, their products have done well for me.
    • Spike’s Tactical (Mainly due to this ad.) – I have purchased from them previously, sadly before I had found this list.
    • Springfield (Decent products, however, they supported anti-2A legislation in their home state) – I have purchased from them. Quality and decent products.

    • Optics Planet (It’s hit or miss with them as far as shipping time is concerned. It could take a week. It could take 2.5 months depending on the item, but they’re always good for whatever you order.)
    • Palmetto State Armory (Tread lightly with them when using a credit card. There have been reports of PSA customers having their credit card info swiped and random charges showing up months later.) –I have purchased from this retailer and have no had issues described above, however there seems to be some information out there that they may be a bit rabbid in the MAGA circle.
